Lyndon comes from a musical family and is currently studying his Bachelor of Music at The University of Melbourne, Conservatorium of Music, under the tutelage of Rosamund Illing and Raymond Lawrence. Lyndon’s singing career began while he was a student at Scotch College where he performed as Nanki-Poo. Lyndon received the Florence Bradford Scholarship in 2012 and the Mona McCaughey Scholarship in 2013. He is a former chorister of the Choir of Trinity College (2012-13), with which he toured and performed in Germany, the Baltic States and Russia. Other associated projects include the Port Fairy Spring Music Festival featuring a performance of Britten’s Rejoice in The Lamb, as well as a special concert of works by Eric Whitacre in Robert Blackwood Hall at Monash University.
Lyndon will be performing solos with the choir at the Wonthaggi Community Arts Centre on 17 April in addition to the lovely duet The Prayer with our resident soprano, Nadia Migliardi.
Some of Lyndon’s other upcoming performances are on Friday April 29 where he will sing Schumann Dichterliebe with Stephen McIntyre as part of the Allen House Music Soirees and again on May 28th at Saint Johns Anglican Church, East Malvern. He will be the tenor soloist for two performances of the Mozart Requiem in D minor at St. Paul’s Cathedral Melbourne on May 21st.
