The Maroondah Singers will help celebrate the centenary year of the Bush Church Aid Society with a special fundraising concert on Saturday October 19 at 2pm.
The Holy Trinity Church in Doncaster has invited the choir to present a lively afternoon of choral music which will be followed by afternoon tea.
Our former Vocal Scholar James Emerson will make a special appearance alongside talented soprano Amelia Wawrzon, weeks after he finished runner-up in the prestigious RMP Aria competition.
Proceeds from the event will go to the society’s mission work throughout remote and regional Australia and tickets are $25 each. The church is at 106 Church Road, Doncaster, and inquiries can be made by ringing 9840 2577.
The concert comes several weeks after the Maroondah Singers’ memorable Annual Concert at Melba College theatre in Ringwood. The audience of more than 160 enjoyed a wonderful occasion.
